Are you passionate about Authentic Family Living? Join Us!

We are connecting with other moms, dads and kids to talk about what is on our minds about Non-schooling, De-schooling, Radical Unschooling, Unschooling, Homeschooling, and Schooling... as well as... Natural families, Attachment families, Green families, and Attraction Families.

If you and your family are practicing the art of living authentically, remember the most important step is listening to each family member, trusting yourself and choosing to do what feels right for your unique family and situation!

Miss the show? Listen in to Christine, JOhn, Marianne, Danielle and Rain as they discuss the inspiration for this new site and soon-to-be weekly radio show!

We are living in a blessed age, where we are able to choose to be a parent who has a career or a parent who stays home with our children. However, many parents who would CHOOSE to stay home are financially unable to do so. Let's figure out how!

Lawrence lost his job with 'that company', long story short, very 'funny business' over at 'that company'. It was an illegal firing...no written evals...no reprimands...just fired. We are past the panic stage, sort of calm, he's applied for unemploy…

Job hunt

I must start another job hunt. We have medical bills from a couple of emergency hospitalizations. This will go faster if I work. I may have to thin out my writing activities.

Fall socials list

I've had to change my plans for 2 reasons. One the local groups have announced very few teen socials and activities. Two, Laurence was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome about 5 months ago.

Our insurance won't cover 'behavior therapy', so I've got to see to this need myself. After much reading and discussion thru a variety of groups I've decided to seek particular social activities and or structure. I'll write more later on what I think he lacks or hasn't been exposed to. I can mention 'conflic… Continue

box turtle had the right idea

I put him in a playpen, an empty toddler pool, to excercise. He escaped! I didn't know a 5 inch turtle could climb out of a 8in toddler pool. I guess he had the correct instict. 'Let me outta this thing!'

Tomorrow I should do this again, this time I'll watch him to see how he did it.

We found him in the kitchen attempting to get behind the refri.

He just wants to hunt. He had the right idea, he wanted even more space and freedom.

I don't mind cutting him loose in the house, as long as we plu… Continue

'Can't stop' by Ozomatli a possible unschool theme song?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR6HXaWN8Vg

So you feel you cant go on,

you've got nothing left to lose,

But there is no one left to love,

You've got nothing left to chose,

Can't stop, can't stop....got to move on in a different way.

Can't stop this love....

(Sorry can't type fast enough, this song screams to me!)

Shake it, shake it....got to keep moving.
